As someone who loves the automation in this platform, I find I can go several days without needing to sign into Galaxy Digital. I would love to receive an email notifying me when someone has registered to become a volunteer so I can approve/deny their request.
Thanks!

Hi Jennifer and good afternoon,
I hope you’re doing well, and thank you so much for adding your support to the suggestion to add an automated notification that will notify site managers each time a new user account is created! I’ll make a comment on our internal product suggestions record, and continue to discuss this with the rest of the team.
Thank you, and have a wonderful rest of your day!

This would be very helpful as we need to notify our trainers to reach out to them. Please consider this feature request!

Hi Christina and good morning,
I hope you’re doing well, and great question! Whenever a volunteer signs up for a Program’s shift, as long as the notification is set to active (found in Communication > Notifications > Notification of Need Response) and the necessary parties (assigned Program Managers or those listed in the “Additional Email Recipients” opportunity or Program field(s)) can receive system messages to their emails, the Program’s managers and additional contacts will receive the “Notification of Need Response” automated notification.
Here’s a helpful article from our Help Center about this notification! Since this question is slightly different from the original forum request presented here, if you have any additional questions, please reach out to support@galaxydigital.com and one of our agents will be happy to assist.
Thank you!

Hi . Have you made it possible yet to be able to be notified when a volunteer signs up for your program shift? This needs to be an option! I get notifications when they cancel but why not when they sign up?

Hi Samantha,
Thank you for taking the time to add your voice to this request! I've updated our enhancement board to include your unique perspective that this type of improvement would help you more quickly reach out with a personal welcome.
All the best,

I would also appreciate a notification/email whenever someone new registers on the site. Immediately knowing a volunteer registered would be helpful so I can reach out personally to them instead of having to wait until I check the site.

Thank you, Maia. I implemented your workaround. I would still like to see a notification when a new volunteer registers on the site.

Hi, Allison,
Thanks for adding your support here to our forum! I will make sure to notate your support with our team.
In the meantime, another workable solution might be to have a qualification attached to user registration that requires approval, but not required to utilize the site. This will trigger the Pending Items Notification once daily and let you know a new user has registered.
Please let me know if I can assist in any other way.
Best,
Maia

I agree, an update to me as a site manager about how many or who has signed up as a new user would be really useful to me in my role!

Hi Serena,
Thank you for posting in our forums! I will add your thoughts to the current notes we have for this suggested update.
In the meantime, an alternative solution to a notification would be to incorporate checking the Manager Panel > Volunteerism > Users table for new users into your workflow, perhaps on a daily, weekly, or biweekly basis depending on how often you want to reach out to folks.
You can do this by using a User Filter like this one (see screenshot below):
This filter will show you users that have created an account on your site after the date selected. This filter is also accessible within your Email Blast area, so you can easily pull a list of new users there to message directly.
I hope that helps, thanks again!

I would like to add to this request for a notification when a new volunteer completes their registration. I know an email is automatically sent to the new user, so even a CC of this email to me would help.
I need this because sometimes I have engaged with a new volunteer in person, and have asked them to create an account in our volunteer system. But I am not notified when they have done this. I would love to know when they have done this, so I can immediately engage with them again.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for checking in! We haven't implemented this change, but I will add your voice to the chorus! I think using the Date Added filter on the Users page is a great way to currently find that information.
Right now, the suggestion is to create a notification that goes to Site Managers when a new user registers on the site. Additionally, adding the ability for Site Managers to approve or deny a user's request to join their site. Please let me know if I'm missing or mistaking any aspect of that request.
Thank you!

Are there any updates to this request? We too need this feature. Right now we plan on pulling a daily report on Users by Date Added but would love to get a notification.

Hi All,
Thank you for the additions and support for this post! I will make sure to add this suggestion and the support for this suggestion on the enhancements board. I will include the suggestion to 1) have a notification that is sent out to Site Managers when a new user has been added and 2) create a way for Site Managers to approve or deny new users before they have access to the site.
I hope you all have a great rest of your day!

I would like to see this feature as well. Frankly, with all the notifications I receive, I was surprised to find that this wasn't one of them. I did miss a new user because of my notification expectation. The ability to deny a registration would also be helpful, but not as critical for me because I use qualifications as gatekeepers for volunteerism. Thank you!

Alyssa, I just posted a new topic for the need of a qualification notification, too. Feel free to mention your comments on that one also so that it has more support. Thanks :)

With my volunteer base, I'm pulling from the same group of 80 some volunteers, not getting brand new ones every time. When I do get new volunteers mid-season, they usually need the process to go fast and sign up for new opportunities quickely. I really need a new registration/qualification notification, otherwise I'm going to miss new volunteers. This was kind of one of the things I was kinda hoping for with an actual volunteer management system.

This would be super helpful to me as well. With all of the template messages that we have control over, it would be nice to have a message that we can activate to send out to site managers that a new user has created an account.
Thanks!

Good Morning JP,
Thank you for posting on the forum! What I am hearing from this suggestion is that you would like the ability to:
1. Find out when someone new has signed onto the site as a volunteer.
2. Approve or deny their request to be a volunteer on your site.
Do both of those sound right?
Thank you!
