Make the calendar of opportunities more accessible

I think it would be great if the calendar was an easier to use tool for volunteers. This could be accomplished in the following ways:

Add it to the left hand navigation menu (I added it in their by making it a spotlight, but it is now taking up a spotlight space.
Allow users to filter the calendar by all of the filters the opportunities page includes (Age, teams, skills, etc.)
