I recently received a request from one of our local organizations to have a feature where they could "check-mark" certain opportunities as PRIORITY so those specific opportunities would stay at the top of the listing on their individual organization profile page. For organizations that have numerous opportunities, but would like to have users see more important or vital needs first, I see this feature as an advantage.
Thank you!

Hi Melissa,
Thanks so much for the background here on why you'd like to be able to order opportunities listed on program pages starting with the soonest happening first. We have put in place a way for Site Managers to decide on how all opportunities on their opportunities page are ordered (Settings > Main Settings > Opportunities > Opportunity Sort Order); however, there is not currently a way to select a similar option specifically for program page listings.
I have added your thoughts on this to our current notes about this request!
Thanks again,

I'd love a way to prioritize volunteer opportunities on program pages as well. Specifically, I'd like to have them in order of soonest upcoming to latest upcoming events. I'm worried that if our soonest events happen to be not listed first, people will think we do not have any events coming up soon, when that is not in the case. If they see the first event shown is in September, but listed later on there is one in July, they may not look further to the July opportunity and may assume that the first one they look at (the September one) is the soonest one. Then they may not come and check our page again until August or September - and now they've missed the July event. I believe it would also be great to highlight or pin certain events, for example, if we needed more volunteers at an upcoming event, we could pin that event so more people could see it and hopefully sign up.

Would love a "shuffle opportunities" setting so that when someone clicks on an agency they see random opportunities instead of the most recently posted.

Hey Cameron,
Thank you for your suggestion! Currently, the default view for opportunities is to show the most recently updated opportunity first. Knowing this, I can see how an agency could benefit from being able to choose or spotlight opportunities that may not have been the most recently added on their profile but are important to advertise to potential volunteers.
“The ability for agency managers to choose the opportunities listed on their profile page OR the ability for an agency manager to prioritize opportunities they want to show first at the top of their listing page”
Let me know if this is a good summary of your suggestion and I will add it to our enhancements board!
