Name tags at check in

We are wanting a feature that would allow volunteers to print their name tag once they have completed the check in process. The current system for name tags isn't feasible for my team. We also see a lot of volunteers that don't show up, this way we can save resources and only print the name tags of those who show up to volunteer.

Hey Matt.

Thank you for adding your thoughts to this thread! I've documented your request for consideration for future enhancements.

I hope you're having a great week!

With gratitude,

Would just like to bring this back to the top of suggestion. Really would love for the check in kiosk itself to have the option at to print the name or names after they have signed in.

Hi Jennie,

I will add your thoughts to our team's enhancement notes! As a note, the "Name Tags/Badges for Printing" report could be helpful here in the meantime. You're able to filter for a specific program, and then a time frame the shift occurs on. I know this report doesn't boil down to a specific shift, but hopefully it's helpful! It's found in Reports > Users > Name Tags/Badges for Printing.

Thanks,

Shonie

I would love to use this feature as well.  And I love the idea that they initiate the printing of the name tag when they check in. I see the name tag printing area but I can not get it to even print a particular shift for me. It always gives me ALL the names in our system. I only want the names printed that are signed up for a shift OR as they check in for a shift it prints their name.  That would also tell me that they have checked-in correctly.

Haley,

I appreciate the additional information, so in addition to printing nametags when they utilize the kiosk, am I correct in assuming that another part of the request would be to limit hour collection only to the kiosk on an opportunity by opportunity basis?

Thank you!

Hi Maia,

We are wanting to use this for our main volunteer event, we can have up to 100 volunteers twice a day. For our main volunteer event we have 5 iPads set up to check volunteers in. We are training all of our program managers and telling volunteers to check in on the iPads or with a staff member. At our main location we are seeing a lot of volunteers checking in that are not actually on site and are getting credited hours for work they did not do. So we are hoping to use this as a way to confirm each volunteer is on site, and also it will make for an easier way to print name tags. So once they are at the final check in screen there will be a Print name tag button for the volunteer. With the current system for name tags it will be hard for us to hand them out and we are also seeing a large volume of volunteers who sign up and don't show up for the event.

Hi, Haley,

I hope you're well! I appreciate you adding to the forum.

As there are several different ways for Volunteers to check-in (Kiosk, Volunteer Self Check-In, and Check-In List) -- would you envision that nametags would be printed only when individuals utilize the kiosk?

I appreciate any additional context or clarity!
