Need Notification for Agency Fans: Define who receives it

This suggestion involves defining who receives an automatic notification when a mission/need is posted. Qualifications and User groups could be used to limit this.

Sometimes the automatic notification is sent to volunteers who cannot respond because they do not have the qualification specified in the mission. We would like to see the ability to modify that.

Additionally, some missions are targeted at a specific user group and would like the group to be notified of a new mission posting.

I would like to see these options available when building a new mission. This would allow the notification to be sent to the correct people.

Add a new field in CREATE MISSION/EDIT MISSION screen

AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION RECIPIENTS

1. Must choose one of these:

             a. all program fans (public mission)

             b. all program fans plus user group (public mission)

             c. all program fans who possess qualifications specified in the mission (public mission)

             d. user group members only (private mission) (regardless of being a fan or not)

Thanks,

Hi Cathy,

Thank you for expressing your requests here in the forum! We already have a request for a specific email notification to go out to user group members if a need (mission) is added to the user group, so I will go ahead and add some of your thoughts there as well since they are similar.

Just to make sure I have all the information I need for your request, is this something that you would want only Site Managers to have the ability to do? Would this override all automatically triggered notification settings currently in place in the software?

Thank you for your insights,

Shonie
