User Role: Reporting

Some organisations have complex reporting structures and often time there is need for a Manager or Assistant to be able to generate report data on volunteering. These actors do not have any other involvement with the platform.


Based on this, I think it would be really useful to have a "Reporting User" User Role created.  

  • Access constrained to only seeing and generating reports, i.e. a Reporting User could not create programs/opportunities etc. 
  • This reduces need for people to ask others to generate reports. This reduces lead time and allows reports to be accessed more quickly.
  • This also reduces the number of Site Admins required to simply access reports.

“The ability to have an additional user role with the capability to review report data. This user role would only have the ability to access the reporting area to view and export reports.”
