We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
Can we require / auto-correct for proper capitalization of names & addresses in the volunteer registration form? For those of us who export this data to merge it with a donor / customer database, all lowercase / uppercase names require manually adjustment. (It also just looks bad when we send an automated email using the {first_name} and it's lowercase/ all caps!)
Thanks!

That solution would work for me. Thanks, Eli.

Hi, Heather! I can understand why you'd like to enforce this, and I agree that it would be good for consistency in situations where you are merging data across platforms. One way to do this would be to allow users to enter whatever they want in the form, but automatically transform the text so that only the first character is a capital. This might result in less error messages, and therefore a bit less frustration when people are filling out the form.
Let me know i this solution would work, and if you have any questions!
