I've noticed that when a volunteer views opportunities from the 'Calendar view', finds their preferred date in the future, then clicks on their preferred date and specific opportunity - the system takes them to the Need page WITHOUT selecting the specific shift the volunteer just intentionally navigated to, and clicked on. Galaxy needs to work on updating the calendar feature to align with the 'needs' pages so that instead of navigating to the general need, a volunteer will be prompted to simply submit their selection.
I've heard from several volunteers, and our staff, that they find this frustrating, and disappointing that the system navigates in this way.

Thank you for letting us know about the experience your users are having with the opportunity calendar. I've added this suggestion to our enhancements board to review with the team.
Just to make sure I am covering all of my bases, I will also check to make sure that this is expected behavior. If it is not, I will circle back her to let you know of any updates if we make them sooner than later to address this.
