The duplicate hours pop up is really aggravating some of our ongoing volunteers. If someone is registered for an ongoing need, I would expect them to log hours on an ONGOING schedule for the volunteer opportunity.
The number of phone calls that a site administrator gets about this is absolutely ridiculous.
Please eliminate the "duplicate hours" pop up for ongoing and runs-until needs. We expect them to be logging hours multiple times for these.

Hi Nick,
I wanted to revisit this forum post with you and send over an update on this issue.
Development has pushed an update this week to help with this situation. Now, the Duplicate Hours pop-up warning will only appear for Runs Until or Ongoing needs/opportunities if the hours being logged are an "exact" duplicate. This means that, if a volunteer logs an additional hour entry on a date they already logged hours for, they will receive this pop up. Otherwise, folks submitting multiple hours entries to these types of needs will not be alerted.
We hope this improves your user's experience!

Hi, Nick,
I hope you're well! Thanks for adding this to the forum. As of now, we have changed the original iteration of the duplicate hours pop-up to have the option to hide for 24 hours. Outside of your suggestion of eliminating it for runs-until and ongoing needs, is there any other thoughts on this matter you have that I could pass on to our enhancement team? I can definitely see where this would be perplexing for a volunteer who was used to attributing multiple hour records to one opportunity.
In the meantime, I will pass this request on as is to the team.
Thanks!
