We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
We would like the ability to remove a user group from the list. It makes the list unnecessarily longer and just looks messy. We should be able to deactivate or remove a user group created by mistake causing duplicates or that the group is not required.

Hi everyone,
We've recently updated the User Groups table to act like other tables on the site where inactive groups will now be hidden until filtered by Status. This will help with keeping the table looking more organized! We've also added a way to export this data and additional columns to the table. Thanks for your support:

Hi, Gloria!
Thanks for your question! User Groups can be deactivated, but not removed entirely from the table. However, User Groups can be filtered by Status. When you filter the dropdown, this allows you to view only the Active, Current User Groups. Selecting the Active Status in the Dropdown will cause the inactive/pending User Groups to be hidden from your list.
Here's what this looks like from a test site:
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reply here!

Hi Judy,
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit your suggestion to us! I have added your thoughts to our existing request notes which will be reviewed by our team during one of our upcoming enhancement meetings. I will be happy to report back with any updates that I receive.
As a helpful workaround in the meantime, you can filter the User Group list to display active User Groups on your list. To do this, select Active in the dropdown box in the Status column. Doing so will cause the inactive/pending User Groups to be hidden from your list.
Thank you!
