I think it would be helpful to have a way to specify that needs for specific agencies don't go live automatically but go through a site administrator for approval before going live. It's unnecessary to review all needs before they go live just a select few. At my school, we allow our student organizations to recruit volunteers for community projects using the system. However, these organizations periodically post needs in the system that are not eligible for service hours per our service guidelines, and I'm trying to figure out how I can be automatically alerted when these specific organizations enter a new need so that I can review it right away. I'm finding the entries after the fact and then having to decline volunteer hours, which is upsetting to the people who volunteered at the event.

Hi Laurie! Thank you for bringing this to the forums for us to look into!
My understanding of your request is that you would like a setting to be able to mark agencies as either auto-approved for needs, or requiring approval by a site manager before new needs go live on the site. You are looking to have some agencies have different settings, in this regard, than others–rather than a single, site-wide setting affecting everyone.
I can definitely see how this would be beneficial to your student organizations, and certainly to the volunteers who ended up with declined hours as the original need was ineligible in the first place. I’ve added this to our notes to discuss at a future enhancement meeting!
Have a great rest of your week,
