A lot of times I am the one assigning a opportunity to a volunteer. When a site manager assigns you, it send a different email than if the volunteer signs up for a opportunity. In that email you cannot add the initiative message which in my case has important information in it. I would like to see this feature added.

Hey there,
I can completely understand why the addition of the {{initiative_message}} template key to the scheduling notification would be helpful, and am happy to add this to our request notes to review with the team. I will add this as follows:
"This request is for the addition of the {{initiative_message}} template key to be added to the Schedule Assignment notification (email that is triggered when a Site Manager schedules a user). If the opportunity or shift is part of an initiative, it is also important for those users to be informed on any additional information related to the initiative."
In the meantime, you could also send an Email Blast to any users you schedule for an opportunity within an initiative with necessary information you'd like them to have about the initiative. You can do this by using a User Filter like this one below (I added the Shift Date filter as well, in case you'd like to narrow users down to a specific shift date):
