Not sure if this is already a thing, please direct me to it if is, but when a volunteer is going to log their hours  and select an opportunity in the drop down menu, ALL of their PAST responses are still there, making the drop down menu incredibly long and cumbersome for those with years of records. is there a way to archive or maybe select a specific year or something else, to make the drop down menu cleaner? thank you.

Hi Anabel,

Good news, we have made some updates to this drop down in the track hours areas for users. Here's our snippet about this from our release notes page:

Previously, volunteers would see every need and shift they had ever signed up for when logging their hours. To help streamline the volunteer experience, we have limited the needs and shifts they can see to those that happened in the last 90 days, as well as ongoing needs. Volunteers can no longer log hours toward shifts that haven't happened yet, and they will no longer see their entire shift history in the dropdown:

Thanks for adding your thoughts on this here for consideration!

Hi everyone,

Anabel and I finished talking about this request in a ticket, and she agreed that one of these options could work. So, I have logged these accordingly on our end.

Thanks,

Hi there,

Thanks so much for adding this to the forum! Yes, this is currently expected behavior. This is because users are able to submit multiple hour entries towards their responses if needed (to account for repeat volunteerism or needing a lunch break, etc.).

We've definitely heard about this request before, and I can see how having all of their previous responses could be confusing, especially if it has accumulated to a longer list.

That being said, for better detail for my notes on this, would it make sense for your use case to hide responses for shifted opportunities if the user has already submitted hours towards them? Or, maybe there could be a system for hiding shifts past 30 days since they happened from the list within an optional "expand for more dates" menu (to allow for folks to still submit additional hours to past responses if needed)?

Would love your thoughts, thanks!
