Hi all,
We'd be interested in having "Opportunity Managers". These users would be like Program Managers but only have access to one opportunity.
We post volunteer opportunities for some partners. These are all part of one Program, with each partner having an opportunity. We don't want to make staff at partners Program Managers because then they'd have access to other partners' information. I realize the alternative would be to make each partner its own Program, but this would be challenging in its own way. In particular, we like having all the partners in the same map under one Program.
I don't know if something like this is possible from a technical standpoint but it would be quite helpful for us. Or maybe there's something I'm missing?
Best,
Cody

Hi Kris,
I appreciate the explanation that you gave! That helps give us a clearer insight into the use case that may benefit from this idea. I have shared your thoughts, along with Cody's initial suggestion to our product enhancement notes which will be reviewed by our team during one of our upcoming enhancement meetings. If there are any updates surrounding this idea moving forward, I will be happy to keep you both updated here.
Thanks again and have a great day!

Hello Jeff!
We think there are some similarities, but we will describe two of our use cases in more detail here:
We work with multiple non-profits that we have entrusted with program manager access to manage volunteer opportunities related to their specific non-profit activities. Because of this, we have had to split up into multiple licenses which is a bad user experience for our staff, but it's better in terms of staff data and security. It would be better if we could control program manager access to certain areas within one license.
In one of our licenses, we have a group of users (in our case, teachers) that we would like to be able to post volunteer opportunities, and we don't want them to be able to see all of the volunteer user data within the license. We think this may be similar to Cody's need. We just want them to be able to see responses and the data related to those opportunities which they have posted.

Hi Cody and Kris,
Thank you both for taking the time to share your ideas on our Suggestion Forum! I'll be happy to share your thoughts with our enhancement team. It seems that the two of you may have similar opinions relating to the "Opportunity Manager" idea. Before I share your ideas with our team, I would first like to ask Kris if your vision for this position aligns with what Cody posted. Additionally, if there is any other information that you would like to share about the types of users that would need this capability on your site and the types of opportunities that they might post, I would be happy to document those as well.
Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you!

We would also like the ability to post opportunities without being a site manager/program manger. (Like an Opportunity Manager) We have similar concerns about wanting to limit access to data.
