We would like an accept button like how there is an X to indicate you are declining a match from a volunteer. By clicking it the volunteer would get an automated message saying they were accepted for opportunity {enter name} and that the teacher will be messaging them soon. That also helps the teacher remember who they accepted as maybe, upon pressing the accept button, the response field could turn green or change in some other way to indicate the opportunity was accepted.

This is a clever idea! It reminds me of a pending hours/qualification in the way site managers would interact with it. Thank you for letting us know!

I'll mark your suggestion as follows to discuss in a future enhancements meeting:

Enable a "pending responses" feature where SMs/PMs can view responses, then accept/decline as they choose. Accepting the response would trigger a notification alerting the volunteer that they've been selected for the opportunity. Potentially also list pending/declined responses as well so these can be viewed with a color-coded status to be quickly identified as which volunteers were selected and which applied but were declined.
