I have 3 suggestions I hope you will consider incorporating into the platform!

1.) App vs. Browser consistency

  •  I would like to request that the Check-In Kiosk be available for Ongoing, Runs Until, Happens On, and Multi-Date needs in the browser mode.
    • Right now for some reason this feature is only available in the app form and agency browser form but not individual volunteer browser mode.

2.) Benchmark Customization

  • I would also like to request the ability to further customize the badge icons, that show up in the automated email, from their default language including "Top Volunteer" displayed on the medal within the image, to the language that site managers type in.
    • Right now the titles I created as a site manager don't appear in the automated email badge images. They only appear in view profile.

3.) New automated email suggestion

  • Finally, I would like to ask that an automated email be added to the notifications list that sends an email to verify unaffiliated hours.
    • Right now there is a question that asks for an email to verify hours but when I tested this question out, it did not work properly. The email was never received.

Thank you for considering these suggestions and I truly hope you will agree to incorporate these important additions to the platform!

Hi Brianna,

  1. Thanks for expanding on that! I believe this is the case because it is expected that on site users would more than likely just use the mobile app or a check in kiosk to check in, and the desktop website to add hours after the fact for most non-shifted needs. But, I understand wanting consistency, so I will add this for our team to review and take a deeper look at.
  2. Thanks for confirming!

  1. Can you expand on where you are referring to with the "individual volunteer browser mode" piece?
    • When I say individual volunteer browser mode I just mean the volunteer perspective/account through the website. For some reason, volunteers cannot check-in to an ongoing, runs until, happens on, or multi date need through the website but they can when they are in the app (causer). Even agencies can check-in volunteers to an ongoing etc... need on the website but volunteers cannot. I am requesting that we change this so that it is consistent across the board and volunteers can check-in to an ongoing etc... need both through the app AND in the website.
  2. You would prefer if there was a process created to require that contact to verify those hours in order to approve them, is that correct? If this is the case, if the contact never interacts with the email to approve those hours, would those hours stay pending in your opinion?
    • Yes, I am requesting that an automated message be sent to the email that volunteers say can verify their unaffiliated hours. Similar to when agencies receive an email when they have pending timesheets, an automated message should be sent to verify unaffiliated hours once the volunteer clicks submit. Unaffiliated hours should go through the same validity process that affiliated hours go through. Otherwise, we are compromising the credibility of ALL hours that go through our platform because only some of them are verified whereas other hours are not. Unless of course we manually verify every submission, which is incredibly time consuming. Thank you for asking for more clarification! I truly hope that after receiving a bit more information that you will strongly consider these incorporations!

Hi Brianna,

Thanks for outlining some things you'd like to see in the software. I touched on these below:

  1. Can you expand on where you are referring to with the "individual volunteer browser mode" piece? When it comes to the kiosk, it is always launched in a browser. Opportunities of all types should show up, but only if they occur within 7 days of the opportunity occurring and are not private or have a qualification attached to it.
  2. I've logged this with our current notes about benchmarks and how we can improve them in the future!
  3. An email is not sent out to the individual hours email contact for verifying. This data is for the site manager, if they would like to reach out to the contact for confirm the work has been done if necessary. From my understanding, you would prefer if there was a process created to require that contact to verify those hours in order to approve them, is that correct?
    • If this is the case, if the contact never interacts with the email to approve those hours, would those hours stay pending in your opinion?

Thanks!
