Now that you've completed registration for your volunteer account, it's time to start finding and responding to Needs! These are the volunteer opportunities posted by the various agencies using this site. There will be a lot of different types of Needs available to you! Use these tips to find the Needs that are right for you.
How to navigate to posted Needs
You can either click Needs from the site navigation menu or click Volunteer from the top menu bar to get started!

How to search, sort, and filter Needs
Searching by phrase
Type a keyword or phrase in the Search By field to look up Needs.
Sorting Needs
Sort Needs by Newest First, Oldest First, Alphabetically, or Soonest First.
- When you sort by Soonest First, it doesn't include the Needs that are Ongoing—or Needs that don't have a specific expiration date.
Filtering Needs
Select a Filter to narrow down your search.

Set up your profile for best Need recommendations
You can set up your profile so that you're easily matched with Needs that align with your Interests, Causes, and availability! You can:
- Select Causes and Interests from the View Profile area to help the site match you to Needs.
- Fan agencies so you receive notifications with updates about posted Needs and events for those agencies.
- Select your availability from the Edit Profile area so site managers know when you're available for shifts!
