❖ Heads up! This article is intended for Agency Managers. If you're a Site Manager, click here.
Causes are a great way to match Agencies with volunteers who share common areas of interest. Volunteers can filter the Agency list on a site by Cause—ensuring they find the right Agency for them! When you register your Agency on a site, you can associate it with one or more Causes as you're setting it up. Didn't add a Cause during setup? No worries! You can always add Causes later from the Edit Agency page!
- When you have a Cause associated with your Agency, the icon for that Cause appears on your Agency profile page.
Here we cover:
ⓘ So you know: Not all sites have Causes enabled. You can't associate Causes with your Agency if the Site Manager disables them.

Default Cause list
Every site is set to have 16 default Causes. However, the Site Manager can add custom Causes as well. Below are the 16 default Causes and their associated icons. You may not see these Causes as an option if the Site Manager has added or removed any from the default list.
✅ Best practice: Want a new Cause for your Agency? Please contact your Site Manager to discuss adding custom Causes that better fit your Agency's needs as they manage all Causes for the site. Your Site manager is the best point of contact for discussing alternative options if adding custom Causes isn't in the site's best interest.
